Quickly...

I just wanted everyone to know that for some reason blogger wasn't telling when comments were posted like it usually does. I feel so bad as I had been missing out on comments. I've replied back to most that I saw I missed. So if you want to you can check back. Please don't think I was ignoring comments. I love hearing what all you lovely bloggers have to say!

Thanks for following and all your kindness!

Halloweenish Mani

I went ahead and decided to do my Halloween mani today. I'm going to be Lady Gaga so I figured I would need something pretty blingy on my nails.
I started off with a coat of black polish (Hard Candy The End) Then I layered CC's Magic Attraction over it. I added cute little skull decals and then a top coat.

Nice and blingy with a little edge. Haha.

Peep it.

It's a bit messy. I haven't done clean up. What are you wearing on your nails for Halloween?

Rant about Stupid remarks...

I would like to take the time to rant about something my boyfriend told me today. He was at work and one of his female coworkers was showing off pictures of her toy sized pup. My boyfriend decided he would show pictures of our beautiful girls as well.
He showed this picture of Gracie our beagle.
Said coworker then says "Oh she must me the stupid one."

I was enraged when he told me this. Gracie doesn't look stupid nor is she stupid. Where the hell does this woman get off making such an idiotic remark? What about this picture made her think that was a smart thing to say? Why would you say that about someone's dog?

Again I was beyond angry and still am. I don't know this woman, but it really makes me want to meet her and give her what for. My dogs are my children, and I will not stand for someone to make rude remarks about them.

My dogs are very smart. My boyfriend and I taught them well.

Penny was our first dog we got together. Within a day she was outdoor potty trained. In the snap of your fingers she just knew what to do. She knows commands such as sit, lay down, shake hands, and high five. She knows how to walk on just her back legs which she taught herself to do. If you say "Go Gamecocks" she will jump up and high-five you as well.
Gracie is also outdoor potty trained. She knows the commands sit, lay down, shake hands, and high-five, and she plays fetch like nobody's business. She can also be off leash sometimes.
They know the meaning of many words. If you tell them to go upstairs they will go upstairs. If you say "Out" they will leave the area you don't want them in. If you tell them to drop something they do. If you tell them it's bath time they know exactly what it means and will try and hide. Haha. Honestly this is only half of what my dogs can do. They are extremely intelligent little ladies.

With all of this said...Suck it lady! (I'm sorry it had to be said lol)

Now here are some pictures of my beautiful children.

Gracie wants to shake your hand.

Penny wants to shake too.

Laying together and being sweet.

Gracie was a sleepy girl.

Penny's angelic face.

Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy the pictures!

Howlloween....

Just wanted to share our howling good pumpkin with you all. I paint our (myself and my boyfriends) dogs on our pumpkin today. I've had the pumpkin sitting around for a while and it never got carved as intended so I just decided to paint it. I used acrylic paint and some fine glitter to give it some pizazz. I really love how it turned out.

The dog on the left is Gracie (2 1/2 yrs.) and she is a beagle. The dog on the right is Penny (3 yrs) and she is a shepherd mix.

Peep it.
Precious right? Hehe.

How do your pumpkins look and what are you being for Halloween?

Zoya's Ivy

Ok, so I've had Zoya's Ivy sitting in my polish stash for quite a while. I've admired the color and sparkle but really never found the time to use it or wear it.
I was sans nail polish today because I was painting. And acrylic on top of polish has bad news written all over it. After I showered and had fresh clean nails I finally decided to use Ivy.

It dried fairly quickly and the color was exquisite. A nice berry red (bluer tones) with a gold shimmer. I used 2 coats and then a top coat of Barielle Ultra Speed Dry Manicure Extender. Application was great!

Now peep the pictures.

Any Nfu Oh owners out there?

I've been eying Nfu-oh polish on numerous blogs for a long time. They are such beautiful polishes. I found and e-tailer that sells them finally for $12.50 a pop. Eekk.

This is Nfu-oh 060 and I'm in a deep want for this polish. Only time will tell if I end up shelling out $12.50.

Any Nfu-oh lovers out there?

Matte About it...

I don't think I've really done an official review of Orly Matte Top Satin Finish Topcoat. For me personally it's my favorite matte. It's a satin finish and I love it. After a few days of wear you are going to get shine but it hasn't really phased me. So if that kind of thing doesn't bother you, go for it. The life of the polish is pretty great and I've gotten very few chips wearing it. Major plus. It also dries fairly quickly. No streakiness however.
This top coat has been my mainstay top coat on everything for the past several weeks. That says a lot considering a tend to change polish frequently.

Here is Matte Top (1 coat) over Hard Candy's The End (2 coats) layered with Sinful Pink 4 Ever (1 coat)

You should be a manicurist...

I feel like it's been ages since I posted. It's been quite a fun filled weekend. On Friday I went to the local zoo with family and had a blast. We took a trip to the mall and I was approached by a woman who thought my mani and pedi was fab. She was a manicurist and said that I should think about doing it because my nails looked so great. So nice! She works at a salon called All About Me in Hilton Head, SC. So time to plug them hehe. Here is there website. http://www.allaboutmehhi.com/about2.html

Check them out if you are ever in Hilton Head and get your nails did!

I popped into Sally's today and grabbed CG's Lubu Heels, which I had been eying for quite a while. I also go Orly's Goth. It's hard for me to resist black polishes!

As soon as I got home I got my nails ready and tried out Lubu Heels. It's an extremely sheer polish so I used a base coat of black polish and then layered the LH over it. It turned out great. I'm loving the colors and think this will be my Halloween mani. It should go well with my Gaga outfit.

Also the SC State Fair has ended it's run this year and I picked up my art piece that was on display. It's now for sale on my website for $100. Email me for details.

And now I leave you with cute zoo pictures of myself and my 10 year old cousin.

Be on the lookout this week for some Gaga inspired makeup idea etc...

Sequins and such.

If you know me you know I adore all that glitters and shines. Sequins are no exception. Coach has released their new items for November and this bag is beyond FAB!
Its from the Poppy collection and it's called Sequin Spotlight. It prices at $398. And I'm in love. This is going on the "Wish I could have It" List.

Clean and Clear...

Has anyone tried this new product by Clean in Clear called Blackhead Eraser Cleansing Mask?
I found it while browsing through the isles and thought it was worth a try. I've suffered with mild acne on and off through out my life, but lately I had been having a major problem with blackheads. Ugh.
The mask is a light blue out of the tube. You put it on for 5 minutes or so until it dries and turns white. It has a nice refreshing tingle while its on. Then bam you wipe it off.
The product recommends to use it 2 times a week, but I use it every other day along with my normal beauty routine. I must say I have noticed a difference! The blackheads started disappearing.
If you have a problem with blackheads I would highly recommend giving this a try.

Photo filled Post!

First off I would like to show you my fab new necklace by DSK. http://dskjewelry.blogspot.com/

I ordered the Bubbi's Moonlight Necklace last week and it came on Oct 16th. I was thrilled because I had been eying the necklace for quite some time. I opened the package and pulled out a darling note and some goodies along with my necklace. Thanks 100x to DSK. I love it!

Here are a couple of pics. My camera doesn't do the necklace justice.

I also want to give you a quick review on Matte Magic by CG. Mind you this is just my opinion. I used and it was excited with the matte payoff however it took two coats to make it non-streaky looking. It dries extremely fast. On the 2nd day of wear I must say it just didn't look very good.

I went and saw my art piece being displayed at the SC State Fair this weekend. I was so excited to see my piece up and such a big venue. It a was very cool. Here are a few pics!

More of my stash...

OK, so I picked up a few items I was longing for/needed. And here they are.

Hard Candy lipstick in Knock-out, China Glaze Fairy Dust, China Glaze Matte Magic, and Loreal telescopic precision liquid eyeliner.
This pink is fab. I'm really glad I picked it up.

I tried out this Loreal eyeliner because I was in need of some new liquid liner. The precision tip seem very nice and you can vary your line thickness easily. It also drys quickly.

An added little piece. I made this cute bracelet today. BE LOVE!

I popped a coat of Fairy Dust polish over my existing gray polish to give it a pop since I had been wearing it a few days. I really love the fine sparkle it gives off.
As you can see in the picture above the CG Matte Magic bottle is significantly smaller than I was expecting. I was hoping for a full size bottle. I picked it up at Sally's for $5.99. A little much in my opinion since the bottle is so small. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I love the matte trend. I'm afraid that if I love the polish too much I'm going to be out of it pretty quickly though. Anyone else disappointed in the bottle size or is it just me?

Coach...

I just wanted to write a quick blog about something very sad that happened on Sunday. My elementary school bus driver passed away. His name was Coach Ben Reid. He was such a wonderful man. He wasn't just your average bus driver he was a caring human being. He was friends with my mom and always mad sure I was safe. I still remember the look he would have on his face when I gave him ties for Christmas.

I can't begin to tell you how shocked and saddened I was when I heard the news of his untimely passing. The last time I saw him was at the Ingles Grocery store. I always saw him there.

The world has lost a very beautiful human being in Coach Reid. He was a wonderful teacher, bus driver, husband, father, grandparent, and friend. May God Bless his family during this very difficult time.

Rest in Peace Coach Reid ♥

Fall, Fall, Fall...

Fall for Greenville. A local festive fall thing going on this weekend...

I attended last night with my bestie and her bf and a few others. It was a lot of fun. Loooootts of food and people. We sat down to eat at Wild Wings at 8 and didn't finish until 10. Ugh. Overall it was a fun event just super crowded!

Now moving forward. I watched my USC Gamecocks play Kentucky and I'm thrilled to say we are now 5-1. It wasn't a pretty game, but I'm glad we won. I'm a proud Alumna of the University of South Carolina. Mind you, the REAL USC!

Of course like most of the country I'm watching the Florida vs. LSU game and I'm totally pulling for the Gators. Gotta love Tim Tebow, right?

Nighty night...

Matte Nail Swatches...

Here we have China Glaze's Recycle. Such a pretty gray.

Here it is with the Orly Matte Top Coat. I love it. It's not a true matte is a satin matte finish.
Now here we have Orly Matte Vinyl. This is the most true matte out of the collection. However after a day or so of wear you will start to see some shine.

Some Fabulous News!

I entered into the 2009 SC State Fair with my printmaking piece called Kiss My Lips. I've been waiting for a week to find out whether I was juried out of the show or if my work was accepted.

I'm proud to announce that my art work was not juried out and my piece will be in the Art Show and displayed for a 2 week period. I'm beyond excited as this is the largest show I've participated in.

Many thanks to the judges for accepting my piece!

Late Night Swatching Hard Candy Lips

And now we have a couple lip colors for you enjoyment...

I think I may have found one of the best nude lipsticks I've seen. It's called Fire Alarm. I know the picture may be deceiving but trust me I've never seen my lips that pale!

First photo in a zoom of the photo following it. Again Sans make-up.

(Eeeekkk. Every feature I have looks hugeeee! Don't be cruel.)

OK now please don't be harsh I was Sans Makeup and wearing my PJ's in this photo. I was just sporting the Hard Candy Balm Girls tinted lip balm in Diana. It's so subtle, but perks up my pout. It's very smooth and creamy on the lips. No sticky here!
I think I've swatched every Hard Candy item I have except for the polish. Look for that soon! And again, Goodnight.

Late Night Swatching- Hard Candy for your Eyes

From the top left: Eye shadow duo-Bad Reputation (white shimmer, blackish grey shimmer), In the Shadows- Three shades white, and 2 shades of steel blue, Row two: Eyeliner in Rice (silver glitter), and Walk the line in Licorice (black with multi-colored glitter) Row three: Mascara Curl Up and Dye in Mr. Right (Dark blue), Lash Tinsel in Voodoo (blue glitter), Lash Tinsel in Spellbound (black and silver glitter)

Foiled Again Shadow Stick in Glimpse (blackish gray shimmer), Ginormous Lash Mascara in Carbon Black, and if you can even see it Foiled Again Shadow Stick in Celestine (Creamy off white shimmer)
You can see the actual products below. :)

Today's Goodies

I went on a little shopping trip today with my Mom. It was fun. I picked up a set of 4 Marilyn Monroe glasses. I love them. Pictures soon. I also got some cute black booties as well.

Moving on. I went and picked up a few items so I could make the necklace I wanted. And without further ado here is the necklace I made. What it's made of: The heart is made of Paua Shell, the sparrow is brass, and the other 2 charms that say Create and Inspire are also made of brass. I used a suede cord and used brass crimp ends and a lobster claw clasp to finish it off rather than knotting the suede.

I really loved how it turned out.

Now on to my next little haul. I picked up some Hard Candy make-up and a bow headband that I can potentially use for my Gaga costume. Here are the pictures:

Lipstick in Fire Alarm- It's a nude with a bit of sparkle.
Ginormous Lash Volumizing Mascara in Carbon Black
2 Foiled again Metallic Shadow Sticks in Celestine and Glimpse
The headband is by LuLu

I also saw these fabulous shoes by Steve Madden in Leopard print. I didn't buy them but I took some pictures of me wearing them haha. I would have loved to have them, but you know you can't have everything. I wear a size 7 just in case anyone wants to give me a present haha!
Goodnight lovies!

From left to right we have Orly Matte Vinyl, China Glaze Recycle, Orly Matte Top coat, and Orly Blue Suede.

I quickly grabbed the Blue Suede to try out as I was very excited. The formula was great and dried quickly like matte's do. I was very pleased with the color it was just what I was looking for. This was 2 coats. I love it!
