Zoya's Jane with Pitch Black Glimmer

I recently got Zoya's Jane. It's a nice sheer your nails but better color. It levels itself nicely, so no streaky mess. I wanted to pump it up a bit so I added Pitch Black Glimmer from Nicole by OPI. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about it at first, but I'm really digging it now.

There you have it. I think Jane might be my new go to sheer.

Zoya's LC

I recently acquired Zoya's LC. I have a thing for reds. I decided to paint my nails and jam out to some music yesterday because I was in a funk. This certainly made me happier. It's such a unique red that has a coral/dusty hint to it. The best part for me 1 coat! Now that's fabulous.

New favorite. I think so. Let's hope it lasts through a long weekend of shooting baseball. (Did I forget to mention? Carolina Baseball is back!)

Also today is my Dad's 52nd Birthday! So Happy Birthday Daddy!

Zoya's Kimmy

Another new post man I'm on a roll. Haha. Today I'm wearing Zoya's Kimmy from the Sunshine Collection Summer 2011. I've had a handful of polishes from this collection and only wore 1 last year. I decided to pull them out today.

Kimmy is a cherry red with gold sparkle. I'm not big on gold but this is gorgeous. Very fiery. I used 2 coats. (Photos are in the shade as I tried to take direct sunlight photos but there was too much glare with all that sparkle.)

For the last several months I've either been drawn to neutrals/sheers or reds. So this is right up my alley.

Revlon's Popular

Well once I started reading the blogs again I had quite the lemming for Revlon's Starry Pink. A few days ago I happened by the Revlon display in Walmart and noticed Popular. It looked identical to Starry Pink so I snatched it up. Upon further research I found that it is a re-release of Starry Pink with a different name. Tonight I was in Target and actually found a Starry Pink sitting in the Popular marked area. So I snagged it. I wanted a back up anyway.

I adore the milky pink and silver glitter combo. I did something similar on New Year's with some polishes I already had totally unaware of Starry Pink/Popular's existence. Haha.

The application was great. I was surprised. The only thing that was strange is I had some pin prick like dots all over some nails after I had applied top coat. I'm assuming it just didn't react well to my top coat. It was so pretty that I didn't even care.

I also must say my nails are quite shorter in these photos than normal. Over the past several months I've been using Qtica and I have been able to grow my nails out longer and stronger than I use to keep them. Love it. Unfortunately I suffered a break on my index finger for the first time in ages. Snagged it on a shoe of all things. So i filed down accordingly.

Hope you enjoyed my first polish post in what seems like forever! Haha.

Long time no see...

Hello. I've neglected this blog for quite some time. My last post was May 8, 2011. Wow.

My life changed so much in the last 7 to 8 months. I started doing what I love. I shot a 2 time National Champion Baseball team (South Carolina Gamecocks) Back to Back baby! I can't even put into words how amazing that trip to Omaha was. I continued on in the Fall to shoot a Gamecock football team that made history. 11-2 record. Fantastic. Thus a lot of traveling was done in this time period.

I gained a new best friend. She and I got to do so much of this fun traveling together. Especially during baseball season. I became a more outgoing, fun loving girl. I started to find myself again. When you go through several years of illness and all this happens it's like you are reborn. I still have my struggles with my health but I'm in a much better place. Overall there were just so many changes in my life. So many crazy happenings. It's been quite the ride.

I honestly never had much time to get on Blogger and look at things or even post. All my energy was else where. But I wanted to check in and let those who still follow know I'm well. Maybe every now and then I'll post. With that said we're about 37 or so day's out from Carolina Baseball beginning again so inevitably my focus will shift back to that. I've been counting down the days to College Baseball starting again since the night we won the 2nd National Title. I'm crazy I know. I'm ok with that though.

If anyone is interested in seeing my work from the College World series or Carolina's record setting football season you can go here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/photographybykatiebagwell/

Thanks for sticking around if you have. Be blessed in 2012!

I just want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day!

I would also like to share an older picture with you. This is my Aunt, Grandma, and Mommy back in the 80's. All wonderful Mommy's! My Grandma is no longer with us. She was fantastic, and my Mom and Aunt will tell you the same.

I would also like to say that, I love you Mommy. You are wonderful and special, and I'm so grateful you are my Mom!

It's my 200th Post with Essie's Eternal Optimist

I've a hit a mini milestone. This is my 200th post! Yay!

I've got a lot of Essie spam waiting to be posted. I'm not really sure why but I've been accumulating a lot of Essie as of late. I think it's because I can access them so easily. That and I pulled out a bottle of Mod Squad that I've had for a couple of years and wanted more Essie pinks and nudes.

Anyway I'll have several different polishes to show you at some point, but right now I'm going to show you what I'm currently wearing. It's Eternal Optimist. It's a nude that leans pink. I like it a lot.

Now I bring you Eternal Optimist:

And there you have it. Thank you for reading!
