Mint Candy Apple

I'm back with another quick post. I was bored and somehow chipped a nail. I can't do a whole lot so why not change my polish. My pretty accent nails in Orly's Sparkling Garbage were holding up nicely so I just changed the color on my other nails. This was my first time using Essie's Mint Candy Apple. A polish that is a minty blue green. I like this combo, but not as much as the last one. I won't be wearing it long anyway as I'm already planning my 4th of July mani. =)

Sparkling

Quicky post as I am still recovering. I am 2 weeks post-op. I was finally able to paint my nails. Orly's Sparkling Garbage reminds me of a mermaid tail, and Boom Boom Room is becoming one of my favorite pinks. This mani totally reminds me of a mermaid and that makes me smile.

Salon Perfect Neon Collision: Kaboom

I came across the Salon Perfect Neon Collision Polishes the other day. I was pretty excited. I really dig matte glitters and the "floam" look. I picked up 3 of the polishes from the collection.

I chose to use Essie's In the Cab-ana as my undies, and a coat of Salon Perfect's Kaboom over it. I thought it was a pretty perfect combo. Kaboom is composed of yellow and blue matte glitter. I really love this manicure!

Weekend Wrap Up Vol.1

So this is my first Weekend Wrap Up on the blog. I think I'll do this when I have fun things to share from the weekend. Obviously I won't do it every weekend because sometimes I'm a bum and don't do much! Haha.

My Husband and I went to Trader Joe's on Saturday. They were out of Cookie Butter. It was a travesty! However they did have chocolate mini cupcakes and that made things slightly better. Their mini cupcakes are delicious! We also went to the bookstore. I love perusing every once in a while. We went on a walk in our neighborhood too!

Essie Turquoise and Caicos

Goodies I picked up that afternoon.

Today we went to my Husband's boss/friend's baby shower. It was baseball themed and super fun! This was our first "event" with a group of friends as Husband and Wife. Pretty exciting! We somehow ended up coming home with all the leftover cupcakes. Haha.

The cute Mommy and Daddy to be!

Fun party favors.

Hubby and I after the baby shower!

Outfit:
Dress and shoes from Target.

It's my 200th Post with Essie's Eternal Optimist

I've a hit a mini milestone. This is my 200th post! Yay!

I've got a lot of Essie spam waiting to be posted. I'm not really sure why but I've been accumulating a lot of Essie as of late. I think it's because I can access them so easily. That and I pulled out a bottle of Mod Squad that I've had for a couple of years and wanted more Essie pinks and nudes.

Anyway I'll have several different polishes to show you at some point, but right now I'm going to show you what I'm currently wearing. It's Eternal Optimist. It's a nude that leans pink. I like it a lot.

Now I bring you Eternal Optimist:

And there you have it. Thank you for reading!

Essie at Walmart? Why yes.

First off Happy New Year everyone!
Today I was picking up a few things at Walmart when I saw a randomly placed Essie nail polish bottle sitting on the shelf. I was really confused. When did this happen? I turned the corner and saw this bright permanent display. I got a little excited. I snapped a quick picture (there were a lot of people around haha) and then I got to looking.
There were colors from their latest Fall Collection as well as old favorites. I even saw Demure Vixen which is one of my favorites, but the name was changed to Demure Vix. *Scratches head* I ended up getting Brownie Points (a dusty red) and it was $7.75.
From what I can tell the bottles aren't different. They've just added a side sticker, instead of the name on the bottom it's on a small sticker on the top of the handle, and the little "e" is gone.
Here is the display:

There were only a few missing slots. Obviously most people don't even know they are there. And there is more to come in February apparently!
This is Essie's new retail line and it will also be sold online. While I'm all for this, I have a feeling these pretty display's will end up trashed just like other displays. It's just the way it is.

Are you going to buy Essie at Walmart?

Here are some actual bottle pictures so you can see the changes:

Photo's click-able for detail.

P.S.  I got a free Raspberry Smoothie @ the B&N Starbucks. Win!
