OPI Tickle My France-y etc...

Well hello there. Long time no post. I noticed recently I hit 50 followers, and I want to thank you all so much for following! I do appreciate you sticking with me even though my posts are not on the regular.

I have been keeping my nails really short as of late. It's easier that way for many reasons. It doesn't chip nearly as fast so I don't have to worry about it. Plus since I'm a photographer I don't have to worry about breaking off nails while I'm doing things. (Speaking of photography I just want to say I feel so blessed to be able to shoot the #2 College Baseball team in the country. It's awesome. And if you want to see some shots go here.)

Now on to the mani that has been on my tips since last week. Two coats of OPI's Tickle My France-y with one coat of Teenage Dream on top. I really like TMF because it's a nice brown tone neutral. It leans a bit more pink/lavender on my skin tone. It was also a pain the the butt to photograph because of that, but I'll forgive it. Haha.

Now check it out. (Click pictures for a better view.)

Thanks for stopping by!

China Glaze Cyberspace

I decided to pick up one more polish from the Tronica Collection. Cyberspace was really calling my name. I thought it could be close to my lemming All Hail McQueen.

Cyberspace is a taupe holo with a hint of gray. I used 2 semi-thick coats to get full coverage. I had to be careful though so there weren't noticeable brush strokes.

No sun here today so I took the pictures indoors beside the window. Maybe when the sun is out I will get some better shots of it, but that could be a few days

Now on to the pictures! (Don't forget to make them bigger so you can see the holo. The small picture distorts the image a bit.)

Well, that's all I've got. Thanks for reading.

China Glaze Hologram

Last night I went to Sally's and finally saw the Tronica Collection by China Glaze. I ended up getting Hologram and 3D Fantasy. I'm wearing 3D Fantasy on my toes right now. The holo is insanely subtle which makes me sad. This afternoon I put Hologram on my tips and it's a lot more lively looking on the nail than it is in the bottle.
I can certainly agree with most about the Tronica's not being the best holo's. The OMG and Kaleidoscope Collections blow these out of the water obviously. However I like them. You can never have enough holo in my opinion. Haha.

The only thing that drove me crazy about Hologram was this it took 3 coats to make everything even. It dries quickly though.

Ok on to the pictures. (Click to make them bigger so you can see the holo.)

Haha and a bonus picture. My dogs had to check things out.

That's all for now. Thanks for reading!

Opportunities...

I've got a handful of manicures that I want to edit and post. Hopefully I will soon.

Here's the thing. I've been really busy lately and just recently I've been given the opportunity I've been waiting for. I'm working for GamecockAnthem.com as a photographer. I'm very thrilled to have the opportunity to do something I absolutely love.

As most of you know I've been shooting baseball for a long time on my own, and Saturday I was actually a credentialed photog. It was really exciting and just reaffirmed that this is my dream.

That being said if my blog is a little quiet you will know why. Stick with me though.

Ooh a Handwriting Tag!

Ooh a tag! My friend Kendal tagged me for this. I was pretty excited because I thought it was a fun tag! I also love seeing other people's handwriting. I write a lot and my handwriting can be nice but it can also look like poop. Just depends on my mood and how much of a hurry I'm in. I think my handwriting has evolved so much, and it probably will continue to do so because that's how I roll. Haha.

Get Your Green On Special by Zoya

Just a quick post. I received my Get Your Green On polishes from Zoya today. Very excited about it since I don't own many green polishes. That and I can wear one on St. Patrick's Day. I'm Irish/Scottish so I really enjoy St. Patrick's Day. Not the drinking part, but actually celebrating my heritage. I'll actually be celebrating my heritage at the dentist that day though. Haha.

Anyway here are some bottle pics of Ivanka, Shawn, and Suvi. Swatches to come.

Spring is in the Air...

I want to apologize for my slackness in the nail blogging dept. I've been dealing with medical stuff, and then I got sick and it's just been up and down. When things are like that you just don't think about doing your nails.

Anyway, in other news College Baseball Season has officially started. This is something I'm hugely passionate about. I love baseball. I love my team, and my team just happens to be the Defending National Champions! So my time is spent at the baseball field now which I adore. Our stadium is beautiful, and Opening Day/Weekend couldn't have been better. Can you say Sweep? That's what we did. It's nice to start off 3-0.

If you're interesting in seeing a handful of photos from opening weekend click here! (All photos are taken by me.) I don't really talk about it much, but my dream job would be to be a sport photographer. Gamecock Baseball specifically. Ha. Maybe one day, right?

P.S. I'm fixing up my Art/Photography Blog. So if you'd like, go follow it as well. http://artbykb.blogspot.com/

I hope everyone in the blogging world is doing well. Enjoy your week!
