Stylish Blogger Award!

I would like to thank the lovely Kendal for this award! How awesome! She's a great blogger with awesome nails and cute kitties! So again thank you Kendal! =)

These are the rules for this award:
1. Thank and link the person who gave you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 15 recently discovered great bloggers
4. Contact these bloggers to tell them about this award!

1. I've been in a relationship for almost 6 years. Wow. Time flies right? We met in the second semester of our freshman year in college in our art class. Not long after that I got 1st and 2nd degree burns in a tv dinner accident in my dorm covering most of my right arm (I'm a righty). I was useless in my art class. Our teacher designated him as my helper and the rest is history.

2. I have 1 tattoo that I got well over a year ago, and it's in need of a touch up. I want more. I have several ideas, but I'm not sure where I want them.

3. I've had a total of 7 of dogs in my life. 2 have passed, and we currently have 5. I love them all so much. My first dog was my best friend and my muse.

4. I have a BA in Studio Art with and emphasis on Printmaking. I work in a variety of mediums. Printmaking, 3-D sculpture (carving, building, etc.) , Photography, and Graphic Design.

5. I absolutely love sports! I was going to sporting events straight out of the womb. My Dad has taught me a lot, and for that I'm grateful. Baseball is my favorite sport hands down, and of course my Alma Mater is the reigning CWS National Champion. Go Cocks!

6. My family is extremely important to me. I wouldn't be who I am without them. I love you guys!

7. I collect a lot of different things. Penguins, Crabs, Snoopy Memorabilia, Marilyn Monroe Memorabilia,  Andy Warhol Art, Art books, Art supplies, Art in general, Nail Polish etc...

Bloggers I tag: (In no particular order, and I know some of you may have received this already but I think you're awesome, and want to tag you anyway lol!)

Zoya's Harley

I had been lemming this color for quite some time. I adore gray, and this one looked special. Once I got a spoon of it I knew it would be mine. I picked Harley as part of my 3 Free during the promotion.

I decided to wear it first out of the 3 I had picked because I just loved it so. Zoya's website describes it as "Light concrete gray base with subtle flecks of silver, gold and copper shimmer." The darker gray and copper flecks of shimmer are what stood out to me most. It makes this gray unique.

I put this on last Thursday evening (1/6/11) I decided to do a wear test since I had also bought Anchor and Armor. The formula on Harley is wonderful. So easy to apply. I only used 2 coats, and of course a coat of Anchor and Armor.

Here are the pictures (I'll caption them by day.)

The first three photos are from the first day. (Thursday)
Sunday 1/9/11 (Left hand)
Sunday 1/9/11 (Right Hand) At this point I had gone to a Music Video Shoot, went shopping and tried on lots of pants etc...
Monday 1/10/11 I had my first chip on my left thumb. I'm not really sure when it happened. Otherwise very minimal tip wear.
Tuesday 1/11/11 Still very minimal tip wear and the chip on my thumb got a bit bigger. It snowed Sunday night through Monday and I had done lots of playing in the snow etc. at this point.
Wednesday 1/12/11 - Thumb chip a bit bigger and tip wear a bit more noticeable.

So my verdict: This is an awesome polish and the length of time I went without a single chip was amazing! I'm very pleased with Anchor and Armor. They've done a fantastic job. I'm really happy I decided to purchase them. You can bet more times than not that's what I'll be using!

I'll be taking off this polish today and switching to something different. I'll be the Second Shooter AKA Photographer at a wedding this weekend and I'll be wearing all black. I think I may pop it with some red a la Zoya's Jade. We'll see.

I hope this has been a helpful post. Have you tried Anchor and Armor? Do you want to?

Zoya Intimate Spring 2011 Collection Spoons!

I received the Intimate Spring Collection 2011 spoons last week. I know many others are probably getting these as well. No harm in posting them though just in case you don't have them. There are some pretty colors in this collection.

From top to bottom: Gemma, Jules, Dannii, Caitlin, Dove, and Marley

I love the blue flash in Gemma. I also love Caitlin, but I love blues in general! Overall this collection looks like a win for me. A little something for everyone.

*Disregard those stray dog hairs in the first picture. Hey with 5 dogs around it's bound to happen. Hehe.

Zoya's 3 Free-What I got.

So, by now everyone knows Zoya had their 3 free promotion for hitting 20,000 likes on Facebook. Last week they put out a code so you could get your pick of 3 polishes. Zoya had a lot of traffic to the site which I know caused issues for many. It's expected in promotions like this though. I for one am grateful to Zoya for doing wonderful things like this. I was lucky and got my order in without issue and it came within 2 days.

Last Thursday I opened my box of pretties. (I know I should have had this up sooner.) I had also ordered part of the color lock system- Anchor and Armor.

So I'm sure you are ready to see what I got. Well, here they are:

Kotori, Harley, and Jade. Such wonderful colors.

And here is a sneek peek of an up coming post about Harley:

So what Zoya's did you pick up?

Revlon Twitter Contest Win

Back in November Revlon had a contest on Twitter to win the new Fire and Ice Collection. I can't recall what you had to do exactly, but you had to be one of the first 500 people to do it. So of course I did what was required. The next day I had a DM in my inbox saying I had won.

Last week I finally received what I had won. It was rather funny because it was in a pile of orders on my front porch. I was pretty excited. No special packaging or anything, just the 4 polishes and lipsticks. Woo hoo!

Here we have Demure (polish and lipstick), Temptress (polish and lipstick), Siren (polish and lipstick), and All Fired up and Fire and Ice lipstick. The Fire and Ice line was first created in 1952 and brought back in 2010. You can find more about it here.

Can't wait to try these out!

Also she is having a China Glaze Anchors Away Giveaway! So if you want to be a part of it go check it out and possibly win some polish! =)

In other news I've got several major posts lined up: 3 free Zoya's that I received last week, my Revlon Contest Win, and the music video I was an extra in. It's been a fun filled couple of days. So lookout for those posts!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

Goddess- Urban Decay Loose Pigment

I decided to sign up for Hautelook when they were having their $2 Urban Decay sale. Of course by then most of the things I wanted were sold out. I held out a little longer because I wanted to get some Muk Luks they were advertising, and only wanted to make 1 order. I ended up getting 1 of the Urban Decay Loose Pigments in Goddess.

UD labels Goddess as a midnight blue with electric blue microglitter. Honestly the pigment looks more black to me. I've noticed others have said that too. The glitter seems to shine and shimmer all the colors of the rainbow though. I noticed some fall out just doing the swatches, but the pigmentation is great. I'm glad I was able to pick this up for $2, as they regularly go for $20. And to be honest I wouldn't have bought them at the $20 price tag.

On to the pictures:

This was a swipe back and forth straight out of the bottle.
I then lightly swiped the pigment left beside the first swatch.

Sparkle.
And here is a cute shot of on of my pups sniffing out the goods. Haha.

Hope this helps anyone who maybe be looking into getting one of the UD Loose Pigments. I also would highly recommend signing up for Hautelook (it's free) so you can partake in some great deals. Click here to use my link if you would like to check it out or sign up.
