It's official. I'm in love with Summer.

Lack up polish updates yet again. I tell you I've been staying kind of neutral lately. I've been at lots of baseball games and it's just easier that way. Less maintenance.
So this post will consist of a Life update. (my first Nuf Oh polishes and Baseball. Oh and my 24th Birthday and a Daughtry concert. Haha. Lots of stuff happening this past week...)
I'm so pleased with my flakies. I can't wait to have more. Now on to baseball. College baseball. If you don't know already I'm a University of South Carolina (USC) alumni. Thus I pull for my Gamecocks, and have been doing so since birth. The boys ended the regular season on a tough note and didn't show well in the SEC tourney. They just couldn't get the bats going.
Thank goodness we got a Regional. I spent three days, June 4-6, sitting behind home plate watching my favorite team kick butt. It was fantastic. Not only that but my friend/player told me they were going to win that Sunday game for me so I could celebrate my birthday on Monday June 7 with happiness. He was true to his word and even hit a 3 run homer that night. Hehe. Here are a few pictures from Regional weekend.

My old college roommate! I love her!

Whit and I. (USC right fielder #5)

Jeff and I (USC 1st baseman #6)

Scott and I (USC 2nd baseman #8)

So on my 24th Birthday. I found out that the Gamecocks would be playing at Coastal Carolina for the Super Regional. I was pumped and ready to be there. Tickets went on sale at Coastal the day of my birthday and would be on sale to the general public on Tuesday. So I went on with my birthday as planned.
I went home with my boyfriend and went out to dinner with my family and best friend. My boyfriend had already gotten me a beautiful birthday cake so my Mom decided to to a playful cake and got me a My Little Pony cake. It was quite funny. Dinner and family time was wonderful and my birthday went off without a hitch. Whoa I can't believe I'm 24 haha.
Peep the Birthday fun:Well, Tuesday the day after my birthday was a bit crazed. I was going to see Daughtry, Lifehouse and Cavo that night via my birthday present from the boyfriend. But my mind was on getting baseball tickets to the Super Regional. Coastal was pulling some mess with the tickets and only allowing walk ups in Myrtle Beach to get the tickets (no limit) They weren't going to put tickets up to the general public until 5pm online. Well guess what? Those tickets sold out way before that. The box office in Myrtle Beach wouldn't even answer the phones for ticket orders that day either! I was beyond pissed. I've gone to every Super we've been a part of since 2000! News outlets and our Head Coach showed they were displeased with the way ticketing was done. Some calling it a scam etc. Needless to say I was sad and angry over the whole thing. But the show must go on and my boyfriend were off to see Daughtry. The show was amazing. I even met the opening band, Cavo.

Now on to baseball again. I wasn't in Myrtle Beach, but I watched my boys bust their arse's and win two days in a row in 100 plus degree heat. We made it to OMAHA!!! Amazing.

The team came back from Myrtle Beach late Sunday night. (1 am so technically Monday.) And my boyfriend and I went to welcome them back at the Stadium.

So here's the video I took. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcOsY0MSbh0
And this is my friend Scott Wingo and I. He's our 2nd baseman. (He also made SportCenter's Top 10 plays on Saturday. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=5281715 ) Anyway we went to Rival high schools back home, but both of us are Gamecocks. Haha.

Ok, that's all I've got. Hope you enjoyed all the pictures and my ramble!

I'm sorry, but the position of annoying talking animal has already been taken...

Are you ready for a little more Shrek in your life? I'm a huge Shrek fan, and I must admit when I saw the OPI Shrek collection I giggled with glee. Granted that's not the only Shrek collectible you will see in this post. I've got a toy and a few glasses to showcase too. Haha.

I picked up OPI's What's With the Cattitude, Ogre the Top Blue, and Funky Dunkey. (Donkey is my favorite character.) I'm currently wearing Ogre the Top Blue on my nails. It went on fabulously in 2 coats. I'm wearing What's With the Cattitude on my toes. It was 3 coats.

So peep some of the the pretty.

And there you have it. Have a happy Shrek day!

Pink with some Sparkle...

I was messing around with a load of my unused polish the other day and tried a few different things to see what I was in the mood for. Everything seemed like it was missing something. And I won't lie the mani I'm about to show you didn't last on my nails that long. Mainly because I had to do things and banged them around before they were completely dry. The dents and crinkly smudges weren't pretty. Then I was just over it. Haha.

This mani was so pretty. It has a sparkly antique pink vibe. I used CG's IV (2 coats) and a coat of LA Splash in Pink Dream.

Peep the pretty.

My next post will be Shrek themed I'm thinking. I've picked up 3 of the OPI polishes and I love them. I'm wearing What's with the Cattitude on my toes and Ogre the Top Blue on my nails right now. So stay tuned...

Goodnight.

Yellow It's Me

What a great title for my new polish post since I've been on hiatus, and the polish.

I have been on the hunt for Sally's Hansen's Hidden Treasure and have had NO luck. Sad face.

How ever I stumbled upon some beauties yesterday.
I picked up Niclole by OPI's Yellow it's Me, and Dream Maker. I immediately did a mani/pedi last night. The colors are somewhat on the sheer side but buildable. Yellow it's Me is of course a yellow with pink glass flecked shimmer. So gorgeous. Dream Maker is a pink with a goldenish glass flecked shimmer. It is a lot more sheer than Yellow it's Me.

Photos show Yellow it's Me on my fingernails. Nailtek foundation II base, 3 coats of polish and then Seche top coat. I had a heck of a time getting a picture of the gorgeous pink shimmer. It's there I swear.

Peep the pretty.
Later fellow polish lovers!

It's been a while.

Life happens. That's probably why haven't kept up with my blog for a little while. I'm sorry about that. I've been in a mood and most of the time I haven't been sporting polish or it's been a neutral color or I just didn't care. Here are a few other reasons I've been occupied.

On April 22, 2010 I lost one of my furry family members completely unexpectedly. Her name was BG and she was a 10 year old dachshund. She got very sick, and took a dramatic turn the evening of the 22nd. We were getting ready to take her to the E-vet, and she just couldn't hold on. She died with my Mom beside her. We still don't know why. It was totally heartbreaking and still is. I miss her like crazy. She was a beauty.

I've been trying to get off the medication Cymbalta that I was put on last year and I've been going through withdrawal. I feel like crap most of the time, but I will gladly take feeling like crap to get off of this addictive drug. I'm also uber emotional and everything makes me cry now. It's like I have hard core feelings again haha. The reason I was put on Cymbalta was because my doctor thought I was crazy because I was complaining about certain pain I was having. Thus it caused me anxiety as well. Turns out I have TMJ and IBS. So that's what was causing a lot of my issues. The dentist diagnosed my TMJ a few months ago. Basically the disc that moves when you open your jaw has completely stretched out in my jaw and causes me to hit a nerve on occasion. Fun right. Apparently this two issues I inherited from my Mommy. It's also entirely possible I'm also having some other nerve problems too so that is just lovely.

And lastly I've been keeping up with my baseball. The most joyful part of my year haha. The University of South Carolina is my team, and we've kicked some major butt this year. I'm so proud of the guys especially since some of them are my friends too! So here's to them and there quest to the CWS! Let's get it!
My friend Jackie Bradley Jr. (He's the Gamecock's center fielder and all around beast. hehe)

Alrighty, alrighty I think that about covers things. I've be back with another post tonight of some pretty polish I just picked up.

Shiny goodness.

I picked up Orly's Shine. This is a foil polish and it's got some super shine. It reminds me of molten metal.

I applied two coats. It chipped pretty quickly, but I wasn't surprised. It was pretty while I wore it.
Thanks for looking. =)
