Southern Charm

The Carrie Underwood collection for Nicole by OPI has started popping up around here. I happened upon a half display the other day, and I'm still on the hunt for a few more. I really just wanted some of theses polishes for the names. They are so cute.

Today I'm going to show you Southern Charm. This polish is a neutral that leans a bit blush/brown on me. It has a good easy to work with formula. I only needed 2 coats. I dig it.

I'm quite a fan of this collection, and I think there is a little something for everyone.

Yellow It's Me

What a great title for my new polish post since I've been on hiatus, and the polish.

I have been on the hunt for Sally's Hansen's Hidden Treasure and have had NO luck. Sad face.

How ever I stumbled upon some beauties yesterday.
I picked up Niclole by OPI's Yellow it's Me, and Dream Maker. I immediately did a mani/pedi last night. The colors are somewhat on the sheer side but buildable. Yellow it's Me is of course a yellow with pink glass flecked shimmer. So gorgeous. Dream Maker is a pink with a goldenish glass flecked shimmer. It is a lot more sheer than Yellow it's Me.

Photos show Yellow it's Me on my fingernails. Nailtek foundation II base, 3 coats of polish and then Seche top coat. I had a heck of a time getting a picture of the gorgeous pink shimmer. It's there I swear.

A Wink of Twink

Nicole by OPI's a Wink of Twink is a darling little silver holo polish. This photo required 3 coats and I still had a few see through places. It's such a soft holo if that makes any sense. I wore this polish for about 6 days and didn't get a major chip until the last day. I was very impressed with it. I suggest you try it out.



I also picked up Gone Wishin' which is a purple and blue glitter. Very pretty. I have yet to wear it however.

In other news. My friend Angie went into labor today and welcomed Rilee Grace Peters into the world. I'm so excited for her and can't wait to meet little Rilee.

Pretty Polish by E.L.F. In the Jewel Tone Trio.

I saw this at Target and I really loved the colors. It was the last one left so grabbed it. I swatched the blue quickly last week but forgot to take a picture. It went on nicely but was a little lack luster on the nail. The sparkle just wasn't there and I used 2 coats. It dried pretty quickly. About 30 minutes afterward I went and hopped in the shower since my nails were completely dry. Bad idea. I chipped the heck out of several of them. I'm hoping if I use a top coat there will be less chipping. I'll get back to you on that...


I've got two pretty polishes from Nicole by OPI that are just beautiful. One called Gone Wishin' and other a silver holo called Wink of Twink. I'm wearing Wink of Twink right now. It such a soft silver holo. Hopefully I'll swatch them soon. The weather has been a bit gloomy here lately. So be on the look out for that.
