Wintermint

While I was on the hunt for the remaining NOPI Carrie Underwood polishes (no luck), I happened upon the newer scented Revlon polishes. I'm generally not one for scented polishes because I'm quite sensitive to smell, but I decided to give one a try.
I grabbed Wintermint because I love mint and it was the most intriguing color. It was sheer on the first coat but finished off nicely with the second coat. Once it dried it had a lovely mint scent that wasn't overpowering. I polished Saturday night and as of today I can no longer smell the scent. I'm ok with that though. As for color it's lovely mint green with aqua hex glitter and smaller gold glitter that seems to shift in color.

How do you feel about this polish or just scented polish in general?

4th of July Nails!

I ordered KBShimmer's Pimp my Pride because I thought that would be the perfect 4th of July manicure. I decided that I would try my hand at nail art with this manicure too. Just an accent nail though.

Pimp my Pride is fantastic. 2 coats with wonderful coverage. My accent nail is a smattering of different polishes. My base was 2 layers of Orly's High on Hope with a coat of Revlon's Heavenly in between. This would resemble the sky. I then used a dotting tool to make a firework exploding from the base of my nail with OPI's Solitaire. I added some colorful glitter with NOPI's Confetti Fun.

I'm so pleased with how this turned out! I love watching fireworks so this was perfect for me and so festive for Independence Day!

Now here are a million pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Eclectic and Heavenly by Revlon

As I said in my previous post I'm all about a great Revlon polish. I picked up Eclectic and Heavenly a few weeks ago. I'm finally starting to jump on the mint green polish bandwagon. Now I want them all. Haha.

Here we have 2 coats of Eclectic with a 1 coat of Heavenly on the ring finger. Wore this mani for a week. It was love.

So pretty. Thanks for reading.

Girly by Revlon

I'm impressed by Revlon time and time again. I love that you can achieve certain looks at a lower price point than having to shell out for some of the higher end brands. I also get great wear from Revlon polishes. When I passed the Revlon polish rack I had to stop and grab up Girly a few weeks ago. It's a sheer/jelly pink with multiple variations of pink/purple/blue hex glitter as well as some holo glitter. What's not to love? This is 2 coats with no undies. I enjoyed it.

The polish matched my Fibromyalgia Awareness bracelet.

Pretty right? Thanks for reading!

Revlon's Popular

Well once I started reading the blogs again I had quite the lemming for Revlon's Starry Pink. A few days ago I happened by the Revlon display in Walmart and noticed Popular. It looked identical to Starry Pink so I snatched it up. Upon further research I found that it is a re-release of Starry Pink with a different name. Tonight I was in Target and actually found a Starry Pink sitting in the Popular marked area. So I snagged it. I wanted a back up anyway.

I adore the milky pink and silver glitter combo. I did something similar on New Year's with some polishes I already had totally unaware of Starry Pink/Popular's existence. Haha.

The application was great. I was surprised. The only thing that was strange is I had some pin prick like dots all over some nails after I had applied top coat. I'm assuming it just didn't react well to my top coat. It was so pretty that I didn't even care.

I also must say my nails are quite shorter in these photos than normal. Over the past several months I've been using Qtica and I have been able to grow my nails out longer and stronger than I use to keep them. Love it. Unfortunately I suffered a break on my index finger for the first time in ages. Snagged it on a shoe of all things. So i filed down accordingly.

Hope you enjoyed my first polish post in what seems like forever! Haha.
