Tattoos

Surprise, surprise I have a tattoo.

This is something I swore up and down I would never do. I couldn't imagine something so permanent being on my body. After a certain amount of time I thought about it and felt like something that pertains to my art and myself was a good way to go and I wanted to get a tattoo.
Originally I got a small hand drawn heart that use when I sign my art work on my wrist. I was so proud of it.

As you can see it was very tiny. After several months if faded considerably and I wanted to add more to it. I thought about this addition for a long time and this is what happened...

I got a self drawn font and another matching heart tattooed on my wrist. This tattoo manifested for so many reasons. You need to remember to be loved, give love, and love yourself. Otherwise life will not be nearly what you wish for it to be. So BE LOVE, radiate it!

How do you guys feel about tattoos? Are they taboo to you or beautiful?

Do you like music?

Tonight I'm letting it all out. All these blog post have been building up and there are things I think you should know.

First off during the summer I discovered this amazing band called Green River Ordinance. They opened for Gavin DeGraw, but I missed them perform the first time. However they opened for DeGraw again at another show to my surprise. I was blown away. It takes a lot to get me into liking a band, and if your a band that gets me dancing by the end of your set it's over. I met the guys that night and bought there CD. I listened to it on repeat during my long 3 1/2 hour drive home. I was hooked.
On September 26th the were going to be opening at a show in Charleston, SC. I was stoked. I went, they rocked. These guys are amazingly talented and super nice.
So I want to make a pitch to you all for my friends GRO.
You all should check out GREEN RIVER ORDINANCE.

And for the next month or technically until Oct. 21st they are offering a free download of their song "Come On" at http://greenriverordinance.com/free/

Please take advantage of this and check these guys out. You won't regret it.

Thank you and that's a rap.

P.S. Here are some pics of me and the fellas for some added flair haha.

Blog Changes...

I started this blog last year with the intention of being a gossip ranting crazy. Then I decided to go another route and write about beauty products and such. I think I love makeup and nail polish more now than I ever have. Haha. However I'm making a slight change to the blog. Nothing crazy, but something to fit into where I'm at in my life a little more.
Two of my art pieces will be displayed on the blog directly linking you to my art website. It's my first love. Just a little blog makeover so don't be alarmed if you follow or happen by my blog once in a while. I will still be be talking all things beauty, but I'll be adding a little more of my spice to it.

I feel Fall in the air...

For the first time tonight I feel the chill of fall in the air. I must say I'm not super fond of it. I'm the kind of girl that likes the no shoes no socks simplicity of summer. Oh bother.

So I've got a new polish order coming soon from http://head2toebeauty.com/index.html and I'm very excited. I picked up 2 polishes from Orly Matte Couture Collection as well as the Matte top coat. I've also been trying to find a gray polish and haven't had any luck so I grabbed the China Glaze polish in Recycle. I'll try to swatch once they come in. OH P.S. Check out Head2toebeauty.com for some great polish buys!!!

I'm totally loving the matte polishes. I hate that the wear is short lived, but I can deal. I change my polish so often that it doesn't matter.

Moving on. I bought some presh Hello Kitty stud earring recently. I know I'm 23, but it's a cute thing from my childhood that I can enjoy.

What are some of your favorite childhood indulgences?

I'm honestly going to try to step into my blogger shoes a little more often. As I've stated in previous posts my art keeps me busy most of the time, and now I'm getting more exposure which is amazing.

Until later...

New Beauty Products

I don't know about you, but I'm extremely excited for the new Hard Candy line at Walmart.

I was wandering around Walmart for the second time in the day yesterday. I know why would I be doing that. Well, that's a whole other story.

Anyway, I peeped in the beauty isle before I left and noticed the large Hard Candy display. I was stoked. Everything is so colorful or glittery and that is right up my alley. I honestly should have taken a picture of the the display, but I wasn't thinking clearly in that moment.

So I managed to snag a handful of items. Here comes the picture....

Alright starting on the back row on the left we have:
Balm Girls tinted lip balm in Dianna
Just Nails nail color in The End, Break Up, Lava, and Rumor Mill
There are 3 mascaras- 2 are Lash Tinsel Glitter Mascara in Spellbound, and Voodoo, then I have Curl up and Dye Lash Curling Mascara in Mr. Right
Eyeliners- Walk the Line Liquid eyeliner in Licorice, Take Me Out Liner in Rice
Eyeshadows- Kal-eye-descope Baked Eyeshadow Duo in Bad Reputation, and In the Shadows in Rocker Chick which comes with a small black kohl eyeliner, and lastly Eyecandy in Flashy which is a glitter cream shadow it also comes with a small matching eyeliner similar to Rice.

One thing I forgot to photograph was the Plumping Serum Volumizing Lip Gloss in All American Girl.

I haven't tried all of the products yet but will try to swatch some if I get some time. I have used the nail polish in Lava, and it's a great red-orange color with fine gold glitter.

I also picked up Black Matte Nail Polish at Hot Topic along with some great Leopard Fade press on nail polish. A great blogger has done a review on them and you can check it out here: http://www.stephscloset.com/blog/beauty/2009/09/641/product-review-hot-topic-press-on-nail-polish/

That's all the beauty product dirt I have for now.

I would now like to take the time to plug my website for my art. Please check it out.

Long Time No Blog.

I've found myself quite busy since my last blog post. I had an art show and am now preparing for another. (Yay)

My nail polish arsenal has grown quite a bit since the last post. I've added Color Club sets, about 8 polishes from Sinful Colors, and 3 Zoya polishes.

I'm currently wearing Zoya's Ki.

I've had a thing for dark nail polish with glitter as of late, and I've found a new favorite black by Sinful Colors called What's Your Name. It's a deep black shade with blue shimmer. Just gorg. I've been layering it with a blue jelly glitter called Hottie. So fun.

I'll try and work on posting pictures soon. Have a lovely Labor Day!
